Welcome to Mimashima Records, an outlet for the underground alternative scene, based in Liverpool.

The philosophy is simple :–

After years of going out and listening to local bands, we wondered why so few actually made it beyond mid-week gigs in dingy venues.

Why have so many excellent bands been overlooked?
Why will so many unknown anthems never see the light of day?
Where are all the big A&R men when you need them?

So we took the initiative and set up our own record label.

And that’s it. No lengthy rant about how we’re going to reinvent the wheel…

We just love music. End of.
We love music so much that we cast aside our day jobs and got in deep.

Starting like we mean to go on, Mimashima’s first signing, Blue Demon, has set the benchmark for other artists to follow.
